As of July 1, 2023, invoicing for commercial trash services for Ann Arbor businesses has transitioned from the City of Ann Arbor to Waste Management (WM) and billing frequency changed from quarterly to monthly. Updated rates are available on the city's Business Trash Services page. ​

As part of this shift, customers have the ability to utilize MyWM, a customer account portal for submitting service requests, paying bills, making changes to services and more. MyWM can be accessed online at or downloaded as an app in your phone's app store. Instructions to create your MyWM account are included with your invoice.

What if there is a​ missed pickup?  

  • ​Contact WM Customer Experience at 866.797.9018, [email protected] or contact them through your MyWM digital account once setup. Please make sure to have your customer ID ready, which will be provided in the first bill.

Where can I find rate information?  

Will service change?  ​

  • There will be no interruption to trash service. After the first 90 days, WM may "right-size" service and will contact customers if their service is impacted.  

  • Beginning July 1, 2023 optional commercial compost collection was made available, for a fee. If you are interested, visit the city's Commercial Compost Collection for Food Scraps webpage. 

Will Sunday pickups take place?  

  • Sunday collection will begin the week of July 16, 2023. To request Sunday service, please contact WM Customer Experience at 866.797.9018, or by email at [email protected]. ​
