As of March 17, 2024 the ELO and Right to Renew ordinance has been amended to include new rules and timelines. The previous ordinance is still in effect for leases entered, renewed, or renegotiated after October 16th, 2022. Local law requires landlords to provide a physical copy of the
Rights and Duties of Tenants booklet to tenants. The digital Rights and Duties of Tenants booklet (PDF) is linked as a convenience to tenants. It cannot be a substitute for a physical copy.
