Local law requires landlords to provide a physical copy of the Rights and Duties of Tenants booklet to tenants. The digital Rights and Du​ties of Tenants booklet​​ (PDF) is linked as a convenience to tenants. It ​cannot be a substitute for a physical copy.

Note:​ t​he link above does not include the Right to Renew and Relocation Assistance Ordinance.​

Effective July 9, 2023, the City has repealed the Ordinance​ that required the booklet to include Voter Registration and Voter Rights information. Beginning on this date, the print and digit​al editions will no longer include this information.

​​​Copies of The Rights and Duties of Tenants booklet are available for free!

Stop by the City Clerk's office anytime during business hours. Please contact us ahead of time for requests of more than 100 booklets.
