As of March 17, 2024 the ELO and Right to Renew ordinance has been amended to include new rules and timelines. The previous ordinance is still in effect for leases entered, renewed, or renegotiated after October 16th, 2022. Local law requires landlords to provide a physical copy of the Rights and Duties of Tenants booklet to tenants. The digital Rights and Du​ties of Tenants booklet​​ (PDF) is linked as a convenience to tenants. It ​cannot be a substitute for a physical copy.​​

Stop by the City Clerk's office anytime during business hours. Please contact us ahead of time for requests of more than 100 booklets.
