As a City of Ann Arbor e-subscriber, you will receive emails announcing new information pertaining to the topics you subscribe to (see partial list below). This is a free service. An envelope icon appears on pages which are assigned as subscription "topics;" click on the envelope/link to subscribe to receive e-notifications as they become available for that topic.

Subscribers can select how often they would like to receive the bulletins sent by the city, i.e., immediately, all together once daily, all together once weekly. To ensure bulletins are received in a timely fashion, please consider setting your "email delivery preference" to "immediately" or "daily." 

​PLEASE NOTE: In emergency situations, when an emergency alert is activated, the city will send urgent/public safety notifications to all subscribers, bypassing “digest” preferences and regardless of the topic for which you originally subscribed. If urgent/public safety notifications are not relevant nor of interest to you, please disregard or delete. 

How to sign up​​ 

Select from list of subscription topics:

1. Start by clicking here to sign up fo​r email updates. You'll be taken to a new subscriber page asking you to enter your email address, delivery preferences and optional password. Setting a password will allow you to control how your email address is subscribed and unsubscribed to in the system and protect from others subscribing on your behalf, without your permission.

2. Enter the information then press the “submit” button. 

3. After pressing the “submit​” button, you'll be taken to the "quick subscribe" page where you can continue to subscribe to email alert services. After making your selections, press the “submit” button.  

4. ​​After selecting your subscription pages, you will be asked to enter your ZIP code, first and last name and title; and then press the “submit” button. These are optional questions that help the city improve communications.
