City Offices Closed for Veterans Day Holiday, Trash, Recycling and Compost Curbside Service Unaffected; Special Parks Offers for Veterans on Veterans Day

Archived News Release: November 3, 2021 - ​Ann Arbor municipal offices, including the customer service center at Larcom City Hall and the 15th Judicial District Court, will be closed for the observation of Veterans Day Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. However, the city's trash, compost and recycling curbside collection service will continue without interruption. Safety services and utility operations will maintain 24-hour schedules throughout.

To show appreciation on the holiday, the city is offering active duty and retired military veterans the following activities.

  • Golf at Huron Hills Golf Course (3465 E. Huron River Drive) walking or riding. Tee times are required. Staff reserves the right to pair up groups. No rainchecks will be issued. Call 734.794.6246 to reserve your spot.
  • Swim at Mack Indoor Pool (715 Brooks St.) 7–9:30 a.m. and 7:30–9 p.m.
  • Open skating at Veterans Memorial Park Indoor Ice Arena (2150 Jackson Ave.) 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (includes skate rental).
