What is Crimemapping.com?

This is a Web-based crime map of the City of Ann Arbor. Users can map out verified criminal activity near any address, select crime types, date ranges and generate reports.​​

  • CrimeMapping.com pulls incid​​ent data every 24 hours from the Ann Arbor police records ​​syste​m.

  • Citizens can subscribe to crime alerts and receive email updates when new crimes occur near a specific address.

  • Only crimes that have been through a review and approval process are displayed. Cases under review are not in the daily updates.

  • The site uses ESRI technology to locate each event before posting it, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Getting Started on Crimemapping.com

  • To view Ann Arbor crimes only, go to the "agency" tab and select "show only crime reported by."

How to Obtain Crime Alerts

Citizens can receive crime alerts by either:

  1. Signing up to receive emails about​ crime alerts​. 

  2. Subscribing to crimemapping.com to receive crime alerts when new crimes occur near a specific address.
