Gallup Park offers canoe, two-person kayak, one-person kayak, kid kayak, paddleboat, and rowboat rentals plus concessions, merchandise and river-themed programs. Gallup Park (PDF) includes a 3.25-mile asphalt trail, fishing, public boat launch, playgrounds, picnic areas and pavilions, nature areas, and an indoor room available for rent. The Gallup Park Livery also features WiFi, ice cream, baked goods and coffee with a patio overlooking the river. To view the programs we off in the Ann Arbor parks view our new 2019-20 Fall Winter Guide.
We offer two river trips down the current and 2-hour stillwater paddles in the reservoirs. Boats available are kayaks, canoes, rafts, SUPs, paddleboats, and rowboats and tubes for playing in the Argo Cascades.
Argo Livery has a shorter season than Gallup Livery. We have just the Gallup Livery open for river trips and stillwater paddles early and late in the paddling season.
We offer many fun river events and programs such as Trick or Treat on the River (Sunday, October 13 from 12 to 5 p.m.), River Camps for ages 7 to 14 years, River Kids for ages 2 to 7 years, night paddles, boat auctions, Huron River Day Festival, kayak and SUP instruction and much more. Please call the Gallup office 734.794.6240 if you have questions on river programs. Register for a program.
