Archived News Release: April 18, 2024 - The City of Ann Arbor is inviting the community to celebrate National Drinking Water Week at the Water Treatment Plant Open House Saturday, May 4, 2024, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 919 Sunset Road in Ann Arbor. The event will give attendees an opportunity to see how their drinking water, recently awarded best tasting water in the region, is treated and delivered to homes and businesses. The event is for people of all ages and will include:
Drinking Water Treatment Plant Tours.
An Ann Arbor Fire Department Fire Truck.
Washtenaw County Water Resources Rain Garden Program Display.
Leslie Science and Nature Center Activities.
Huron River Watershed Council Resources and Activities.
Tours of the water plant will have a maximum of 15 participants per group. It's highly recommended visitors sign up in advance to reserve a time slot and reduce wait times. To view and select a tour time :
