​Ann Arbor has an extraordinary public transportation system for a City of its size. That said, when in doubt about how to get around, why not take the bus? The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, or AAATA, has a broad-reaching system that serves Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and beyond. On The Ride's website you can:

In addition to our existing system, the A2ZERO Plan calls for expansion of local and regional transit to provide more service throughout the community and region. This includes greater connection to park and rides and more service in currently under-served areas. Learn more in the A2ZERO Carbon Neutrality Plan.​ 

AAATA is examining the possibility of transitioning its bus fleet to zero emissions buses (ZEBs). Information about battery electric and fuel cell electric buses is available on the project webpage​.
