51st Annual Ann Arbor Earth Day

Join us for this free televised community celebration, including activities and entertainment for the whole family. This year's theme is: “Restore Our Earth".
The Ann Arbor Area Earth Day Festival is coordinated by the Earth Day Planning Committee, a coalition of numerous local environmental and civic nonprofits and agencies. This annual celebration has been held at several locations over the years. However, due to COVID-19 this year's event will be virtual. A full schedule of planned activities will be posted to this website in early April.
Due to time limits of events, exhibitors are included by invitation only. The event has a focus on showcasing local environmental nonprofits, agencies, and selected green energy businesses. To learn more, contact Galen Hardy ([email protected]).
Arbor Day 2021 FreeTree Giveaway
Join the 10,000 Trees Initiative in celebrating Arbor Day this year by planting a free tree! We have Norway Spruce, White Spruce, White Pine, and Arborvitae/White Cedar available! Giveaways will take place across Arbor Day weekend – see the flyer below for a list of giveaway sites and dates. To register for your free tree(s), please fill out this registration form.

The OSI is proud to announce the return of the annual Sustainability Forum Series for 2021! This year's series will be held virtually via Zoom. Attendance is free but one-time registration is required. See the series schedule below for more information:

This monthly recurring virtual event is an opportunity for any and all Ann Arbor residents to come enjoy your morning beverage of choice and chat in an informal setting with OSI staff about A2ZERO initiatives and/or sustainability in general. Attendance is free, but registration is required

Solarize Group Buy Meeting - 4/25/21
Hosted by Ann Arbor resident Cliff will be held on Sun 4/25 at 2:00pm on Zoom. This group-buy might be particularly good for you if you are also thinking you may need to replace your roof at the same time as getting solar. Sign up to attend and learn more.
“Power Hour” Feb. 11, 2021 at 7pm, virtual.
This is chance for folks to come learn about solar for their homes, energy efficiency and electrification, and how it all relates to the goals of A2Zero, as well as the program we have to help folks get discounts on solar (Solarize). Commercial and Multifamily Energy Efficiency Virtual Open House

A public feedback period will be launching on February 4, 2021, beginning with a virtual Open House for commercial and multifamily building owners and property managers to learn more about energy and water benchmarking and policy recommendations co-created with a task force of multiple City units and community stakeholders.
