Temporary permission to res​erve a parking lane for work-related purposes requires a reservation form (PDF) to be completed and submitted.

Utility Inspection Fees: Engineering will charge all project-related services on an hourly basis in accordance with the fee schedule in effect at the time the service is provided. These services include, but are not limited to: construction engineering and project oversight, full-time inspection and utility testing; preparation and review of as-built mark-ups and field reports; travel time; and meetings during construction. 

The current hourly rate for pr​oject engineer’s time is $158 per hour. The inspector’s regular hourly rate is $155 per hour, and the overtime rate is $226 per hour and the as-built time is $99 per hour. Bacteriological Tests are $30 per test.​​

If you would like to request improvement charge research for a specific township property that can be annexed to the City, please call 734.794.6333 or email [email protected]. Please be advised that it takes 1 to 2 weeks to research these improvement charges. Please have the following information handy when you call, or include it with your email:

  • Address/ Location/ Subdivision
  • Lot number
  • Tax ID number
  • Property owner​​
