Learn About Fuller Park Playground Proposed Improvements at June 3 Meeting

Ann Arbor’s Fuller Park Mixer Playground has served the community for decades and is nearing the end of its life cycle. A playground renovation is planned this year, and community members can review and provide feedback on the proposed design at an online meeting Wednesday, June 3, at 7 p.m. The link to join the meeting will be posted to the Fuller Park Playground project page on June 3.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting may share feedback through Friday, June 5, via a questionnaire on the project page

Built in 1989, this well-loved playground is especially popular in the summer, when it is used by Fuller Park Pool patrons and day campers.

"We want to ensure the playground continues to be a favorite destination for the community and can be enjoyed by generations to come,” said Park Capital Project Manager Hillary Hanzel. “The existing timber playground is unique, which is why community engagement has been such an important part of the process. We wanted to better understand which elements people value most and where there are opportunities for improvement.”

The new playground project is being funded partially through a $125,000 gift from the University of Michigan and supplemented by the Ann Arbor Park Maintenance and Capital Improvements Millage.

Fuller Park is located near Fuller Road and Maiden Lane in central Ann Arbor, along the Huron River. Go to the Fuller Park Playground project webpage to learn more about the playground renovation project, to complete the proposed design survey and to access the public meeting link on June 3, the day of the meeting.
