Residential Entry System
A Knox HomeBox enables firefighters rapid entry to your home without damage if you're not home or unable to open the door. Knox HomeBox is a key safe mounted outside that can be unlocked only by the fire department. This is a voluntary alternative to forced entry, delayed entry or no entry when the fire department is called to your home for a medical emergency or fire alarm activation.

Blaze & Blue Career Camp for Young Women
This free career camp was created in 2022 as a way to expose young women to careers in Fire and Police. Participants experience the most challenging and exciting tasks in firefighting, first response and law enforcement in a supportive, educational and interactive environment. The camp activities include rappelling, search and rescue, fire extinguisher training, vehicle extraction, how traffic stops are performed, crime scene investigation, static taser deployment and virtual reality training that includes real looking weapons similar to a handgun that function with air and emit a laser. As campers spend two days with the Fire Department and two days with the Police Department, they learn from women who work in these non-traditional career fields and are breaking down barriers and stereotypes. The next camp will be June 22-25, 2026. Registration and further information will be available Spring of 2026. As camp is limited to a small number of participants, "camp alumni" are not eligible.
