GIVE 365

About Us  Volunteer Events  Trash Trailblazers  Youth Volunteers

Welcome to GIVE 365! We are the Parks and Recreation Volunteer and Outreach Program! We love to partner with volunteers to make improvements and enhancements to the Ann Arbor Park system. Did you know there are 162 park properties that the City maintains and cares for here in Ann Arbor? That's a lot of park property! Our partners at Natural Area Preservation take care of the natural areas so most of our volunteer opportunities supplement the park operations staff who are mowing and addressing maintenance items in the developed parkland. Staff and volunteers work together to steward our public parkland.  Join us!

We are so grateful to all of the individuals and groups who have been out in the parks this past season. Be sure to check out our 2022 season wrap up report for highlights and a glimpse into what volunteers have been up to with GIVE 365!

About Us

The GIVE 365 Volunteer and Outreach Program began in the spring of 2011. The program is funded by the voter approved Parks Maintenance and Capital Improvements Millage. Everything we do with our volunteers is in a city park or a recreation facility. We have a variety of projects, work days and events perfect for individuals and groups.  We have featured work day events with set days and times that you can sign up for and we also have customized outings if you are looking for a group opportunity on a day and time that works for you. GIVE also manages the Adopt-A-Park program so if you are interested in volunteering at your local park on a recurring basis, we invite you to reach out to us.

Our motto here at GIVE: Anything is Possible.

We specialize in PARKNERSHIPS.

Community engagement is our thing.

Meet our staff!

We have many projects that are perfect for groups and organizations looking to do service. These work great for teambuilding or community engagement! We will work with you to find a date, time, and project that suits your group. We work in about 110 parks and facilities and we can always find one that could benefit from volunteer energy.  We work with groups as small as four and as big as 25.  For off season inquiries, you can be added to our interest list in case we have capacity to schedule a work day in winter.  We have just opened our 2022 calendar and are ready to begin scheduling your spring/summer workday! Visit our group volunteer project page for examples of work days that can be tailored to your organization.

Trash Trailblazers is back!

What in the world is a Trash Trailblazer you ask? 'Trash Trailblazing' is a volunteer-on-your-own-time type of program. If you walk regularly and would like to collect trash on your walks, we invite you to be a part of our Trash Trailblazers team! It’s easy, and there are no scheduled times, just visit our Trash Trailblazer information page to learn how to pick up the kit and track your parks and litter collected.  Materials supplied: reusable garbage bag, trash picker, portable hand scale and gloves.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Too old for camp, too young to work? Volunteering is a great way for tweens and teens to earn service hours and gain work like experiences. Learn about the 2022 Counselor in Training program or view our upcoming volunteer opportunities as most of our volunteer opportunities are open to all ages.
