Jen Eyer (D)

Council Member

Jen Eyer represents Ward 4 on City Council and was first elected in 2020. She has lived in Ward 4 for more than 25 years. Her professional background includes a long career in local media, where she held leadership roles at MLive Media Group. She now works in communications and public affairs, supporting initiatives related to workforce development, infrastructure, and economic development. Before joining the council, Jen was a leader in local civic and community organizations and was appointed to serve on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners in 2016. As a council member, Jen chairs the Council Policy Agenda Committee and also serves on the Council Administration Committee and the Budget and Labor Committee. She is a council liaison to the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission and serves on the board of the Ann Arbor Economic Development Corporation. Her work on council focuses on housing, land use, climate policy, and worker protections. In her free time, Jen enjoys participating in charity and community events. She lives in Ward 4 with her family.
