Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation Virtual Job Fair is Wednesday, March 16

Archived News Release: March 9, 2022 - ​Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation will host a virtual job fair Wednesday, March 16, 7-8 p.m. via Zoom to talk with candidates about job openings available this spring/summer. There will be breakout rooms representing the facilities that have open positions including Argo and Gallup canoe liveries; Huron Hills and Leslie Park golf courses; Buhr, Fuller and Veterans Memorial park pools; and volunteer outreach jobs with GIVE 365. Open positions include cashiers, day camp counselors, golf course rangers, golf course pro shop staff, greenskeepers, canoe livery attendants, volunteer outreach coordinators, lifeguards and swim instructors and coaches.

“Our goal is to recruit and hire individuals who want to have incredible summer experiences while working at our parks and facilities," said Josh Landefeld, Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation services interim manager. “These staff members are essential to the quality experiences that our customers deserve. Additionally, they can expect to learn many valuable life lessons such as leadership, communication, professionalism and interpersonal skills all while having a great time." Returning seasonal employees also cite work experience, confidence building and friendships as reasons they enjoy working with Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation.

New hires will also enjoy wage increases for all temporary seasonal jobs. Starting salaries are $15.66 for TEMP 1/STEP 1 hires.
