The City of Ann Arbor launched the “I Voted" sticker design contest on Jan. 31, 2020. Throughout February and March, residents sent in their unique, locally inspired designs. In April, a panel of judges selected the finalists in the three divisions; panelists included Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor and representatives from the Ann Arbor Public Art Commission, Ann Arbor Public Schools, the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, the Ann Arbor Citizens Academy and the office of the Ann Arbor City Clerk. The public then voted online for their favorites; voting closed May 31.

The winning “I Voted" designs will debut during the presidential election in November, when the stickers will be proudly worn and shared by the 107,114 registered voters who call the city of Ann Arbor home. Stickers will be available at Ann Arbor polling places, as well as online in digital form, via the city website, on Presidential Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020.

Though Ann Arbor voters will have to wait until November for the new sticker designs, the next election in Ann Arbor is the Tuesday, Aug. 4 Statewide Primary Election. For more information about elections — including how to register to vote and how to vote absentee — visit www.a2gov.org/elections.
