AAFD Helps City Achieve Climate Action Goals With Solar Panel Installation: Public Celebration Oct. 18

Archived News Release: October 9, 2019 - ​The City of Ann Arbor's Office of Sustainability and Innovations, in partnership with the City's Energy Commission and the UM Students for Clean Energy, will be celebrating the installation of solar panels at Fire Station 6 on Friday, Oct. 18 at 3 p.m. Members of the public are welcome at the celebration, which also will include volunteers and elected officials. Come learn more about the installation and how these solar panels will help Ann Arbor achieve its climate action goals.  

The event is scheduled for:

  • Friday, Oct. 18 at 3 p.m. at Ann Abor Fire Station 6 located at 1881 Briarwood Circle in Ann Arbor. Those attending the event are asked to park at Briarwood Mall due to limited parking availa​​​​​​bility at the fire station.   

Those interested in volunteering for the solar panel installation from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 or from noon-3p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 can email Josh MacDonald at [email protected] for details.
