Aug. 10 Parking Restrictions & Road Closures for Soccer Match at U-M Stadium

Archived News Release: July 29, 2019 - ​​Due to the LaLiga-Serie A Cup soccer event at University of Michigan Stadium 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, parking restrictions (and vendor operations) on this day will follow the same protocols as U-M home football game-day Saturdays in Ann Arbor. This means there will be no on-street parking on select stadium-area streets for a 16-hour span: 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10–midnight Sunday, Aug. 11.

A map showing the streets with game-day parking restrictions is available at www.a2gov.org/parking. In summary, streets with these game-day parking restrictions include portions of:

  • South Fourth Avenue

  • Edgewood Place

  • Brown Street

  • South Division Street

  • Franklin Boulevard

  • Edgewood Avenue

  • Belmar Place

  • South Main Street

  • West Keech Avenue

  • Potter Avenue

  • Berkley Avenue

  • Snyder Avenue

  • McKinley Avenue

  • Dewey Avenue

  • Scio Church Road

Signage displayed in the U-M stadium area also promotes the events-parking hotline number, 734.794.6444, for a recorded message with information about the parking restrictions.

In addition, the following street closures will be in place at 2 p.m. until the end of the match, with the exception of southbound South Main Street, which will be closed beginning at 4 p.m. until the end of the match: East Keech Street between South Main and Greene streets, limiting access to parking permit holders on Greene Street from East Hoover to Keech streets; the westbound right-turn lane on East Stadium Boulevard (onto South Main Street) just south of the Michigan Stadium, and South Main Street between Pauline and Stadium. 

*Please note, construction on South State Street will be temporarily suspended and the street opened in both directions starting on Friday, Aug. 9 at 5 p.m. Work and road and lane closures​ will resume Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.
