​About the Facility​

The Argo Canoe Livery is a busy spot drawing crowds looking to rent canoes, kayaks, and rafts to paddle down the Huron River from May-October. Restrooms, shelter, public boat launch, fishing pier and the Argo dam are all near the Argo Livery. The Argo Cascades, a series of nine small rapids, rock chutes and pools serving as a bypass channel to connect Argo Pond to the Huron River, are a popular attraction. Argo Livery is located within Argo Park and Nature Area, a 22 acre park alongside the Huron River.

May 3-May 23: Weekends, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. When Argo is closed, go to Gallup for all boat rentals.

May 24-Aug 17: Every day, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Last river trip rental 4 p.m., last stillwater rental 6 p.m.  

Aug. 18-Sept. 1: Every day, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Last river trip rental 4 p.m., last stillwater rental 5 p.m.

Sept. 2-Sept. 21: Weekends, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. When Argo is closed, go to Gallup for all boat rentals.

Rentals

We have kayaks, canoes, paddleboats and rafts ava​​ilable to rent. For the​ Barton to Gallup river trip, advance reservation is required.​​

Parking​

Parkin​​g at the Argo Livery is very limited, and we kindly ask that you plan before visiting us. Please consider parking in nearby parking lots on weekends and pay attention to all parking and traffic signs. Please do not park in areas that are designated as NO PARKING zones or block ac​cess for emergency vehicles.
