City of Ann Arbor Invites Community to Annual A²ZERO Green Fair on Main Street This Friday!
The City of Ann Arbor invites community members to participate in the 26th annual A2ZERO Green Fair on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. This annual event will take place along Main Street and the surrounding area from 5 – 8 p.m. Featuring electric vehicle test drives, a community swap, local experts and organizations, games, prizes, and more, this year’s A2ZERO Green Fair promises to be a fun-filled and engaging event.
This year’s A2ZERO Green Fair will be structured around five thematic areas:
- Electric Avenue where participants can chat with industry experts about improving the efficiency and health of homes and vehicles. Everyone’s invited — homeowners, renters, landlords, and building professionals. Interested in an electric vehicle? Take a test drive with A2ZERO Community Collaborator, Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance!
- Circularity Street will showcase local businesses and organizations leading the way in circular-economy practices, through reusing, repairing, sharing, lending, and finding creative ways to extend the life of goods and resources. Join OSI and A2ZERO Collaborators, A Colorful Collection and ZeroWaste.org at the expanded community swap featuring clothing and children’s books!
- Municipal Mile where visitors can tour The ARBOR, Ann Arbor’s solar mobile resilience unit; engage with city and county departments; chat with community leaders helping to meet the needs of fellow residents; and learn how you can build community resilience, too!
- Biodiversity Boulevard is a space to learn about conservation-focused resources and volunteer opportunities; uncover opportunities to preserve and enhance tree canopy coverage; get gardening tips; and learn about local water and air quality programs. Pop quiz! Play the new Pollinator Spotlight game to test your knowledge about our local ecosystem.
- Kid’s Corner is where family-friendly games await along with A2ZERO Collaborators and organizations leading exciting activities; and more are waiting for you here. There’s no age minimum or limit — all are welcome!
Returning to Green Fair this year is the Bike Parade for the Planet! Join Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor and local cycling Collaborators to take a ride through the city on your way to Green Fair. Meet at the Farmers Market at 4:30 p.m., with the procession ending on Main Street to mark the official start of the Green Fair festivities!
