South Industrial Highway Project Virtual Open House Takes Place March 11

Archived News Release: March 9, 2021 - The City of Ann Arbor will hold a virtual open house on Thursday, March 11, 4–6 p.m., to discuss the upcoming pavement repair and restriping project on South Industrial Highway between East Stadium Boulevard and East Eisenhower Parkway. The project provides an opportunity to incorporate continuous bicycle lanes along both sides of the corridor, adding more than 2 miles of additional nonmotorized lanes. Construction is scheduled to take place May 1–July 31 of this year.

During the open house, city staff will be available to answer questions about the construction schedule, site accessibility, lane narrowing, lane reallocation, active transportation (bike lanes, pavement markings, pedestrian crosswalks) and more. To access the link to the open house, as well as learn more about the project, the community can visit the project site at www.a2gov.org/southindustrial. If unable to attend the open house, a survey is available on the project site that allows members of the community to share concerns.
