Feb. 18 Kick-off Event for Allen Creek Railroad Berm Project

Archived News Release: February 11, 2020 - ​The City of Ann Arbor will celebrate the start of construction of the Allen Creek Railroad Berm Project at a kick-off event 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at the Amtrak parking lot located at the corner of North Fifth Avenue and Depot Street in downtown Ann Arbor. The $9.4 million project, more than a dozen years in the making, will improve flood protections for properties in the area of North Main and Depot streets, as well as create a safe pathway for the Border-to-Border Trail to cross under the Ann Arbor Railroad.

The event will feature a project overview and a welcome from Mayor Christopher Taylor. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the project and provide site views.
