Firefighters Spray Park Event in Ann Arbor July 4

Archived News Release: June 28, 2019 - A spray park is coming to Ann Arbor! Presented by the Ann Arbor Fire Department and the State Street District, all are invited to cool off with some water fun Thursday, July 4 following the Jaycees 4th of July Parade. The spray park will be located on Maynard between East Liberty and East William streets and will take place approximately between noon and 4 p.m.

The free, one-day, family event will include opportunities to:

  • Spray a REAL fire hose.
  • See fire apparatus and equipment on display.
  • Meet some of your local firefighters.

“The Ann Arbor Fire Department is excited to partner with the State Street District to offer this free family event," said Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mike Kennedy. “This is a great way for our firefighters to interact with the community, and it also provides the rare chance for those who attend to spray a real fire hose and run through water sprayed by our fire trucks — all at safe pressures, of course."

Be sure to bring a towel!
