Community Sing with Matt Watroba Kicks Off Sept. 4

Archived News Release: August 30, 2018 - A popular program for all ages kicks off this fall starting Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Ann Arbor Senior Center (1320 Baldwin Ave.). City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation invites everyone to join artist Matt Watroba as he hosts the monthly Community Sing the first Tuesday of every month from September through June, 7-8:30 p.m.

Watroba, known for singing both original and traditional songs, leads this casual, group singing event that welcomes all skill levels. “Just like singing around a campfire, you'll find yourself remembering that old ballad, Irish tune or childhood family song in no time," said Watroba.

The group setting of this event has been known to help participants discover their untapped singing voice and long-lost memories as they sing songs from books or old favorites they remember from days past.

The cost to attend the A2 Community Sing is $5 per person. The next Community Sing is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 2. For details about the Ann Arbor Senior Center and the variety of programs offered, visit www.a2gov.org/senior.
