A2Energy Power Hour Event is Wednesday Aug. 22

(Updated Aug. 22, 2018) ​The City of Ann Arbor is committed to significantly reducing its carbon emissions by encouraging local building owners to use energy wisely and invest in renewable energy. To meet this goal, the City of Ann Arbor Energy Office is partnering with the Ann Arbor District Library to host two upcoming“A2energy Power Hours." ​

  • Wednesday Aug. 22, 7–8:30 p.m., Ann Arbor District Library, 343 S. 5th Ave., multipurpose room (basement).

  • Tuesday Sept. 25, 7–8:30 p.m., AADL Westgate Branch, 2503 Jackson Ave. (Westgate Shopping Center), west side room.

Join us to learn how your house can be made more energy efficient and whether it is a good candidate for solar. Presenters include Michigan Saves to talk about their contractor network and financing options; Washtenaw County staff to talk about their free weatherization and furnace test-and-tune programs for low-income homeowners; DTE to discuss their home energy consultations and available rebates; Ann Arbor Energy Commissioners to share how to go solar; and Habitat for Humanity to provide information about their refrigerator replacement, furnace test-and-tune, and weatherization programs for income-qualified homeowners.

Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to win prizes for taking part in quizzes throughout the event.
