City of Ann Arbor Police Department Joins Twitter

Archived News Release: March 14, 2017 - ​The City of Ann Arbor Police Department has expanded its social media connection with the community by launching the department's Twitter account, https://twitter.com/A2Police. AAPD made its social media debut in March 2016, via Facebook and Nextdoor. AAPD uses social media as another way to share police news, safety tips, community engagement opportunities, crime alerts, event announcements and emergency information.

Also active on social media are the City of Ann Arbor (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram). Parks and the city find online engagement effective for sharing information and opportunities, but also for directly answering questions and responding to concerns promptly and accurately.
