Types of Employment Opportunities
The City offers two types of positions: Regular and Temporary position applications are accepted online only for posted positions. Positions are updated regularly, including job descriptions, qualifications, and application deadlines (if applicable).
Regular Positions
Ongoing roles that may be full-time or part-time, with or without union affiliation.
Temporary Positions
Limited to 6, 9, or 10 consecutive months depending on employee type and position classification. Temporary full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits. Temporary roles may be renewed annually based on need, funding, and performance, per City policy
Police & Firefighter Positions
Applications are accepted only during an announced hiring process. Openings will be listed on the City's Employment Opportunities Page.
Internships
The City offers internships for students seeking hands-on experience. Available opportunities will be posted on the City's Employment Opportunities Page.
