Interviewing

Do You Have an Interview? Here's How to Prepare!

Interviews may be scheduled at one of our locations or virtually.

Parking Close to City Hall

Ann Arbor offers several convenient parking options to help you get to your destination. While street parking near City Hall can be a quick option, it’s not always available. For the most reliable parking, we recommend the two public parking structures located just three blocks from City Hall. They typically have more consistent availability. No matter where you choose to park, be sure to leave yourself enough time to find a space and walk to your interview.

Parking can be found at these locations:

Ann Ashley Parking Structure

The Downtown Development Authority provides an interactive map showing available street parking, surface lots, and parking structures.

When You Arrive at City Hall

Before your visit, your recruiter will send you an email with details about who Guest Services will need to contact upon your arrival.

Guest Services Check-In

  • When you enter City Hall, you’ll see a welcome desk near the elevators. Let the Guest Services Representative know who you’re meeting with.
  • They will notify your contact that you’ve arrived.
  • A member of the Human Resources team will meet you in the lobby and escort you to your interview location.

Amenities

  • Restrooms are located across from City Services, to the right and around the corner from the elevators.
  • A drinking fountain is available next to the restrooms if you'd like to fill your water bottle before your interview.
