It's time to get creative! Students in grades K-12 can help us design a badge or sticker to promote saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint. The winner in each of the three categories noted below will receive a $200 cash prize and have their design featured at future A2ZERO community events. The public will be invited to vote on final design entries.
Who: Contest is open to all K-12 students in Ann Arbor. Each student may submit only one entry.
Categories: Winner(s) will be chosen in three categories: Grades K-5 | Grades 6-8 | Grades 9-12
What: The winning design(s) will be printed as stickers or badges and digitally distributed at A2ZERO educational events. Designs of finalists will be used in the 2022 Ann Arbor District Library Summer Game badges. And winners in each category will receive a $200 cash prize.
When: All contest entries must be received by the Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations no later than 5 p.m. on July 13th via email or post marked by July 13th, 2021. Awards will be announced on August 13th, 2021
Subject Matter: The design must be the artist's original creation, not previously published art. Entries should focus on the theme of “saving energy".
Mail submission: Entries may be sent via regular email. Do not laminate the design. An Entry Form must be included and either stapled to the design or securely attached to the back. Each entry submitted this way must be mailed or hand-delivered to:
