​Solar Ordinance Information

On August 15th, 2017 the City Planning Commission recommended that City Council approve an ordinance regarding placement of solar panels and equipment on residential properties. The ordinance went to City Council on October 2nd, 2017. After the first reading, the item was postponed to the January 16th City Council meeting to allow additional public comment.

Public Meeting Information

Three public meetings will be held in order to gather information from residents regarding the proposed solar ordinance.

  • Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 7-8:30 p.m.                        Ann Arbor Senior Center, 1320 Baldwin Avenue, Ann Arbor
  • Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 7-8:30 p.m. Ann Arbor District Library Westgate Branch, 2503 Jackson Avenue, Ann Arbor
  • Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 7-8:30 p.m.                             Clague Middle School, 2616 Nixon Road, Ann Arbor
