The Veterans Memorial Sports Complex features the
Veterans Memorial Park outdoor pool, indoor ice arena, lit baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, a 30,000 square foot skatepark, meeting room and a park shelter available to rent. The complex includes a regulation-size rink of 85 feet by 200 feet with spectator seating for 800. A concession stand and vending are available in the main lobby, along with coin-operated lockers and storage units. A standard line of hockey and skating accessories are available in the pro shop and we have four hockey locker rooms. Veterans Memorial Park has multiple parking lots so be sure to review the
parking guide and general park access details.
The Veterans Memorial Park Pool is open for the 2022 season. It features a fan-shaped, zero-depth area with a “raindrop,” interactive water play apparatus, a wheelchair access ramp and a 125-foot waterslide. Minimum height requirement for use of the slide is 42 inches. We offer lounge chairs, picnic area, tennis courts and a shaded deck area.

This card is good for daily admission for you and your family members. One punch per visit per person. Valid for all open swim and lap swim times. Punch passes are not valid for master's swim times. Passes are only valid for one year at any of our public pools. Punch passes are not eligible for refund.

Deep End Test
All children ages 11 and under must pass the deep end test before being allowed to swim in the deep end. To pass the deep end test, the swimmer must swim 50 meters (down and back in the lap lane) using freestyle or front crawl technique without touching or stopping, and then tread water for 1 minute in the deep end.
The Veterans Memorial Park meeting room is available to rent year-round. The room is approximately 718 square feet with a small refrigerator, 65” TV,
speakers, connections for laptops, video and other portable devices. The room room features eight tables (6 feet x 2.5 feet) and 50 chairs. Fees are $40/per hour, resident; and $50/per hour, nonresident (one hour minimum rental). Please email Bill Meeks, [email protected]
Indoor Ice Rink
Veterans Memorial Park Ice Rink will open on September 12, 2022 through April 29, 2023. Winter program registration will begin August 22.

Ice Skating Lessons
The Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation Services Instructional Skating Program is an official participant of the Learn to Skate USA Program sponsored by the US Figure Skating Association. We're offering instruction from the Snowplow Sam, Basic Skills, Freestyle and Adult courses.
Registration begins August 22.

Skates, Apparel, Helmets
Figure skates are recommended for beginners, however a good pair of hockey skates is acceptable. Skates are available for use during class at no additional charge and we recommend trryong ours before buying your own. Layering, snowpants and gloves are recommended. Helmets are required for all beginner/intermediate students (for your safety, no exceptions please). Helmets will be available, you may also provide your own.
