2. This would include (but not be limited to) additional notices of violations of the Michigan Building Code or other building codes enforced in the City of Ann Arbor; discussion--formal and informal--of how the building (any part of it) could be made code compliant; and any plans for reconstruction of any part of the building submitted or suggested by the owners or their representatives as well as the responses of Ann Arbor Building Department representatives to those plans, suggestions, or offer, any inspections and the results of such inspections of construction at this address since August 1, 2017 at this address. Around May 17th, we were cooking on our stove at 611 Church St, apartment 404, and the fire alarm went off causing the fire department to be called. Once on site, they told us that our fan above the stove was not up to code and not working properly and it is not our fault that the alarm went off. Our landlord (Wickfield Properties) is trying to charge us for a broken smoke detector, and from our understanding after speaking with the firemen, the problem was with the fan, not us allegedly tampering with the detectors, which never happened. We would like the incident reports from any time the fire department has been to our apartment in the past two months to make sure all the documentation is in order to present to our landlord.
