Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation is moving forward with a collaborative approach to the aquatic programming offered to residents of Ann Arbor.  Staff are excited to announce that all City of Ann Arbor swim teams will be combined into one NEW team. The move to a city-wide swim team is a transition designed to help the facilities to be more equitable and more responsible for the resources that we have available.

There will be four sessions throughout the year organized as one cohesive program to meet the needs of your swimmer. The swim team is for kids ages 5-17. To participate the child must be able to swim one length of the pool front crawl. Registration will be required for each session.

Registration is underway now (click here to register) with the summer session getting underway Monday, June 12. It will run for seven weeks and includes meets. For summer practices, all three outdoor pools will be utilized (Buhr Park, Fuller Park and Veterans Memorial Park).

Fall, winter and spring sessions will be hosted at Mack Indoor Pool (located inside Ann Arbor Open School, 715 Brooks St.)

The fall and winter sessions will run for 11 weeks and include swim meets. The spring session will run for 7 weeks and serve as a way for swimmers to continue to build stroke technique and endurance.

Use the chart below to determine the location/times that works best.
