eComment
City residents are encouraged to participate in City Council and City Planning Commission meetings via the City’s eComment tool. Written comments may be submitted until 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting using the City's eComment system, which will be activated alongside each published agenda at http://a2gov.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx eComments are shared with the members of the public body as part of their agenda materials. Find the directions (PDF) on how to post a comment via eComment.
Remote Public Comment Options
The public can participate in a number of ways at most City Council meetings. For those speakers who prefer to call in or participate electronically, public commentary can be made by calling into the Council Zoom meeting at:
877-853-5247 or 888-788-0099 and entering the Council Meeting ID: 942 1273 2148
The Zoom meeting can also be accessed online only via the link: a2gov.org/CouncilZoom
After dialing the call-in number, enter the Meeting ID at the prompt. When asked for the Participant ID, simply press the # key. Callers will enter the Zoom meeting muted in listen-only mode whether by telephone or online. For each public hearing and designated public comment time, City staff will unmute callers one-by-one and ask if they wish to speak, or may request callers to press *9 to electronically indicate a desire to speak. When commenting, please mute background noise sources and move to a quiet area, so that you can be clearly heard.
The Zoom software has been set so that only the area code and last 3 digits of the phone number are visible to staff and the public. Callers will be identified by staff using the last 3 digits of their phone number (e.g. "Phone number ending in 123, do you wish to comment?") Callers must pay close attention to the meeting to ensure they respond when asked if they wish to comment or press *9. If a caller is addressed by staff and no response is given, or the caller does not press *9, staff will move on to the next caller.
Please note it is possible that electronic public comment may encounter technical difficulties that prevent your participation. To guarantee your comments are received, you must submit them in writing ahead of the meeting or attend in person.
Legislative File Search
Find detailed information about resolutions, ordinances, and other matters. To print a copy of a file or other information, select the "reports" tab after you have conducted your search.
*This tool was first introduced in late 2007 and used to create agendas, resolutions and minutes from that date forward. To help with research and review of older documents, some earlier minutes were scanned into the system for ease of retrieval. These minutes date from late 1990 to 2007. We cannot guarantee that all records from this time period are available on Legistar. If you have questions regarding your search, please contact the City Clerk's Office.
