A2 Fix It 

Now you can report non-emergency, non-urgent problems to the City of Ann Arbor from your smartphone, tablet, or computer, thanks to A2 Fix It. The new apps allow you to report issues related to:

  • Potholes
  • Snow/ice on roads or​ sidewalks
  • Graffiti on public property
  • ​​Dead or dying street trees
  • Street light outages
  • Traffic signal/sign problem
  • Missed cart pickups​

A2 Fix It also gives you the option to upload a photo with each request, as a visual reference to help staff quickly locate the problem. In addition, be as detailed as possible when reporting an issue so that staff understands the exact issue you would like addressed.

A2 Fix It is not meant for emergency or life threatening issues or to report a crime. Please call 9-1-1 for crimes in progress or life threatening emergencies. 

Desktop

The widget above allows you to make service requests, and well as discover existing problems that have been reported, from your desktop computer. To report an issue:
  1. Make sure the Report tab is selected .
  2. Drag the map marker to the location of your issue, or type in the address directly.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose a service request Category from the drop-down menu that matches your issue.
  5. Enter a Title (required), additional Description (optional), and attach an Image (optional).
  6. Click Submit.

Water Emergency Reporting

If you are experiencing any of the water, storm, or sanitary problems below during normal business hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, please call 734.794.6320. A​fter hours, evenings, weekends and holidays, please call the Water Treatment Plant at 734.994.2840.​

  • Sanitary sewer back-ups
  • Possible sewage leaks (if you smell sewage for example)
  • Water main breaks
  • Rusty water​
  • Storm drain plugged
  • Basement flooding​ 
  • Unusually low or no water pressure ​ ​

Support

Ann Arbor staff responds to A2 Fix It requests during regular business hours. If a report comes in on a holiday, weekend or after-hours, it will be read o​n the next business day. PLEASE NOTE: A2 Fix It is not to be used for emergencies or urgent issues. For matters requiring immediate attention or a police response, call 9-1-1.

If you need assistance using A2 Fix II or a request you've submitted, please contact Customer Service at 734.794.6320. If calling about an A2 Fix It service request, please have your Service Request ID number available. 

Once you have sent us an issue, you will receive an email communication acknowledging your service request. You can continue to check on the status of the issue online. Once the work is complete or the issue has been resolved, you will be notified by email as well.
