Labor Day Holiday to Delay Solid Waste Collection and Close Municipal Offices

Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 1, 2014.

Archived News Release: August 26, 2014 - There will be no trash, recycling or compost collection services in the city of Ann Arbor on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. The Monday pickups will occur on Tuesday, and the rest of the collections will occur one day later throughout the week. The normal Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday, Sept. 6.

City of Ann Arbor municipal offices, including the Customer Service Center at Larcom City Hall and the 15th Judicial District Court at the Ann Arbor Justice Center, will be closed on the holiday Monday. Safety services and water plant operations will maintain 24-hour schedules.

Recycle Ann Arbor’s Drop-off Station at 2950 E. Ellsworth Road is closed on Monday, Sept. 1, but will continue to be open Mondays through Sept. 29 from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., as well as weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
