Crosswalk Design Guidelines Project Kickoff Meetings Wednesday, Aug. 3

Archived News Release: July 26, 2016 - ​The City of Ann Arbor invites the public to participate in the kickoff meetings​ for the Crosswalk Design Guidelines Project to be held twice on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at the Ann Arbor District Library's downtown branch, 343 S. 5th Ave. The first meeting will be held 4–5:30 p.m., the other 6:30–8 p.m. The primary focus of the meeting will be:

  • Responding to the public concerns identified through the Pedestrian Safety Access Task Force project regarding inconsistencies in crosswalk design.
  • Learning about community desires and preferences for crosswalk designs, especially how the community understands existing traffic control devices at crosswalks.
  • Sharing with the community what requirements and guidelines the city already is required or chooses to work with.
