CITY COUNCIL AND SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE DEBATES LIVE ON CTN AND ANN ARBOR.COM

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 3, 2011— Community Television Network is providing live coverage of the Oct. 3 and Oct. 5 League of Women Voters Candidate Debates for Ann Arbor City Council and the Board of Education on CitiTV Channel 19 (Comcast).  For added convenience, CTN will also be airing the LIVE debates online at http://bit.ly/CitiTV. The schedules follow:   

On Monday, Oct. 3 from 7 - 8 p.m., the Board of Education Candidates Forum will feature the six candidates vying for the two contested seats on the Ann Arbor school board.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, starting at 7 p.m., candidates in four ward races for the Ann Arbor City Council will meet in a series of debates:

  • Ward 2, 7-7:30 p.m., Democratic incumbent Stephen Rapundalo vs. Independent challenger Jane Lumm
  • Ward 3, 7:45-8:15 p.m., Democratic incumbent Stephen Kunselman vs. Republican challenger David Parker
  • Ward 4, 8:30-9 p.m., Democratic incumbent Marcia Higgins vs. Republican challenger Eric Scheie
  • Ward 5, 9:15-9:45 p.m., Democratic incumbent Mike Anglin vs. Republican challenger Stuart Berry

CTN’s live stream will also be linked on the homepage of AnnArbor.com, which is offering a live chat opportunity.

All debates will be rebroadcast on CTN until the Nov. 8 election (check the CTN website for dates and times), and will be available online at CitiTV Video on Demand http://a2cititv.pegcentral.com.
