Work to be done

Water Main Replacement

The existing water main on Greenview is undersized and has reported water quality issues. This project will install a new 8-inch water main and replace/relocate fire hydrants to increase fire suppression coverage.

Stormwater improvements

A new stormwater conveyance system, including underground storage, will be installed to improve drainage and help mitigate flooding on the road and surrounding areas.

Road resurfacing

The road will be resurfaced within the project limits. Some existing curb, sidewalk, and ramps will be replaced for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Greenview Drive is an All Ages and Abilities route, as identified in the City's Transportation Plan.

Potential impact to residents

• ​Greenview will be closed to through traffic for the duration of construction. Work in the area will be phased for the benefit of the school schedule and minimized resident intrusion. Driveway access for local traffic will be maintained but may include delays during working hours. Cross street traffic will be maintained as much as possible.

• Water service will be interrupted for short durations during water main installation. Disruptions will be limited, and residents will be informed in advance.

• General noise and dust from equipment, particularly during site excavation.

• Relocation and the addition of new fire hydrants may change or eliminate some on-street parking along the streets.  Final locations of fire hydrants will be shared with property owners prior to construction.​​
  

Cost & Funding Source

Drinking Water Funds, Storm Utility Funds, and City Street, Bridge, and Sidewalk Millage will fund this project.
