The Wastewater Treatment Service Unit is responsible for the effective collection, treatment and environmentally acceptable discharge of the wastewater generated by the Ann Arbor community as well as portions of Ann Arbor, Pittsfield, and Scio townships. The Wastewater Treatment Service Unit is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant and eight sewage lift stations located around the City. Personnel are in attendance at all times as the plant runs on a continuous 24 hours a day, 7 days a week schedule.

TOURS
The City of Ann Arbor Wastewater Treatment Services provides scheduled tours in accordance with the guidelines found
here.  Tours are given Monday through Friday only between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  After reading the tour guidelines, please call the plant at 734-971-4834 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to arrange a tour.
