 Environmental Commission 

 

The Environmental Commission was created by City Council in 2001 and is comprised of up to 13 members of the public appointed by City Council.  You can search for Environmental Commission in the Online City Code from the City Clerk page.

General Meeting Time: 

Fourth Thursday of each month, 7p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall.

Typically, every other meeting will be an untelevised Working Session (WS) open to the public.

  • Commercial Recycling Implementation Committee - Developing Commercial Recycling Recommendations - Commissioners Stead, Bean, and Teall
  • Huron River and Impoundment Management Plan - Currently working on recommendation on managing the Huron River and Impoundments.  Commissioners Stead and Graham
  • Transportation - Participating in the city transportation plan revision - Commissioners Wright and German
  • State of Our Environment Report - Reviewing each city goal and indicators to update the web-based report over the year.  Developing agenda for the Commission retreat.  Commissioners Stead, Bean, Teall, German
  • Water - recently completed participation in the Strormwater rate committee.  Commissioners Loch Caruso and Chock
  • Natural Features - Developing recommended revisions to the Natural Features ordinance and opportuities to protect viewsheds.  Commissioners Graham and Nystuen.
