Project Overview
The City of Ann Arbor 2010 Street Resurfacing Project involves the resurfacing of approximately 10 streets located throughout the City. The project includes the milling and replacement of the asphalt surface, some reconstruction of the road base materials, and the repair and replacement of some existing curbs and sidewalk ramps. Local residences and businesses on the streets where construction will occur will receive letters with further details several weeks prior to the beginning of construction in their area.

Traffic Impact
For many of the above listed streets (Wildwood, Davis, First, Vaughn, Harbal, and Leaird), impact to traffic is expected to be minimal as these streets are primarily local residential streets. Access to residences will be maintained throughout the construction, with the exception of several days when the road will be closed for paving or concrete is being placed in front of driveways.
For higher traffic streets, traffic will be reduced to one lane, and/or detour routes will be posted as they become available.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during the majority of the construction project.
Funding
The 2010 Street Resurfacing Project is funded primarily by the 2007-2011 Street Resurfacing Millage approved by voters in 2006.
