The City of Ann Arbor solid waste collection crews observes the following six holidays:
- Christmas Day (Tuesday, Dec 25, 2012)
- New Years Day 2013 (Tuesday, Jan.1, 2013)
- Memorial Day (Monday, May 27, 2013)
- Independence Day (Thursday, July 4, 2013)
- Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 2, 2013)
- Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013)
- Christmas Day (Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013)
- New Years Day 2014 (Wednesday, Jan.1, 2014)
On these specific holidays there is no refuse, recycling, or compost collection and City Hall, the Drop-Off Station, and Wheeler Service Center are closed. Solid waste collection routes will be collected one day later, with the normal Friday collection days picked up on Saturday during these holiday weeks, only.
The following holidays do NOT affect solid waste services and the collection trucks will be on the road Monday through Friday, as usual: Martin Luther King, Jr., Day; Presidents Day; Good Friday; Columbus Day; and Veterans Day.
