Ann Arbor & Recyclebank
Notice of Recyclebank program changes as of August 31, 2012 from Recyclebank.
The following e-mail was sent on Aug. 16, 2012 to Ann Arbor subscribers of the Recyclebank program:
"Dear Recyclebank Member,
Ann Arbor's Recyclebank recycling rewards program ends August 31, 2012. In May, the Ann Arbor City Council voted to end our recycling incentive program and you will no longer be eligible to receive Recyclebank Points for recycling at home after this date.
The good news, however, is that you can explore other ways to earn Recyclebank Points for living a more sustainable lifestyle. From pledging to make a greener purchase to using fewer resources and tracking your impact, there are many ways to earn points online for taking everyday green actions.
Please note, Recyclebank Points expire after 12 months of no account activity (i.e., earning outside of recycling rewards and/or redeeming points for rewards). Further, local reward partners in Ann Arbor are encouraged to stay part of the Recyclebank program beyond August.
Recyclebank has enjoyed working with the City of Ann Arbor and we're proud of the accomplishments made with the City, its Solid Waste and Recycling Department, local reward partners and Ann Arbor citizens. As our program comes to a close, we wish the City of Ann Arbor the best in its future sustainability endeavors and recycling program.
Even more so, we want to thank you for your efforts. Thank you for making an impact.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Recyclebank"
