Join hundreds of volunteers to help beautify the City on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 9-Noon at Liberty Plaza
Help keep Ann Arbor beautiful at the 25th Annual Downtown Blooms Day. Volunteers will plant flowers, mulch planters, and help spruce up the downtown areas. Interested individuals, families, youth groups, and other organizations are welcome to drop in on this event. Please pre-register by calling Nancy at 734.794.6000 extension 43112 or e-mailing nstone@a2gov.org. 
Girl Scout groups were pre-registered with the Girl Scout Heart of Michigan chapter c/o Erin at 734.971.8800 and these slots are now filled--thanks scouts!
Base Camp location for registration and lunch. We will meet at Liberty Plaza (map link) between E. Liberty and S. Division.
Free event parking in the Library Lot structure. (No free parking is provided for on-street meters, surface lots, or in any other parking structures.)
Rain or shine--the event goes on! Our flats of flowers won't wait another week--and any natural water will be good for them. Downtown merchants will welcome you in their shops if you need to wait for a shower to pass.

Volunteers check in between 9-10 a.m. The event will conclude between 11-12.

Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt from Underground Printing and the State Street Assn.

- A free pizza lunch from Pizza House for volunteers will follow the activities.

Supplies will be provided for planting flowers throughout downtown, although you may bring your own gardening gloves and trowel if you have one.

Please dress for the weather. The event will proceed, rain or shine!

In addition to planting flowers, we will be tending tree beds with pruning and mulching.
