 Sidewalk Repair Program Review

Documents for public review and comment:

  • Cover memo from Ad-hoc Sidewalk Committee (1-page PDF)
  • 2008 Sidewalk Repair Program Evaluation/Recommended Improvements Report (4-page PDF)
  • Updated resident information packet (7-page PDF)

Since formed by Council action in November 2007, the Sidewalk Ad-Hoc Committee has met regularly to review the policies and procedures involved in the annual city sidewalk inspection and repair program.  The Ad-Hoc Committee included six councilmembers and staff appointed by the city administrator.

In addition to discussing mechanisms to improve communication with citizens, the Ad-Hoc Committee also reviewed:

·         Ways to ensure that citizens are notified about ‘affordability’ funding options

·         ADA compliance concerns

·         Contractor quality controls

The public is invited to review the report and provide comments to the city by e-mail to SideWalkRepairs@a2gov.org.

The Ad-hoc Sidewalk Committee City Council members: Sabra Briere, Stephen Rapundalo, Stephen Kunselman, Margie Teall, Michael Anglin, and Marcia Higgins.
