    Building, Construction, Rental Property. Planning and Development (Community Services)  

    Tracking online permit/projects: eTrakIt 
    For up-to-date property record information using eTrakIt, including: building and trade permits; inspection results and scheduling; rental property information; site plan, annexations, zoning and other planning project information; and civil engineering plans.  

    Construction Permits
    Permits are obtained by submitting an appropriate application form together with two copies of plans of the proposed work.  Applications are reviewed for compliance with code and safety requirements.  Some applications require supporting documentation. Building permit fees are based on the cost of the project for: electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.

    The following affidavits and instructions must accompany permits where applicable:

    • Energy worksheet
    • Home Owner Affidavit (where owner applies for permit)
    • Insurance Requirements
    • Investigation into House Relocation
    • Reclamation of Usable Materials (where a house is proposed for demolition)

    • Grading Application Soil erosion and sedimentation control for residential and commercial property.  Your permit must be posted on the job site. (see Chapter 63 of the City Code)

    Effective July 1, 2009
    A lane closure processing fee of $15 and a review fee of $100/hr (minimum $15) will be collected at the time of Right-of-Way permit issuance.

    Note:  For projects that can not use the Parking Lane Reservation Form,
    a Traffic Control Order must now be obtained.
