Where can I pay my parking, property taxes, and etc.?
Payments can be made in person at the Customer Service Center located on the first floor of City Hall at 301 E. Huron St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 on the corner of Huron and Fifth Avenue or you can mail your payment (see your invoice for mailing address). Also, parking citations can be paid online, click here or pay by phone: 1-866-890-4982.
Can I pay via drop box?
We have two (2) 24-hour drop boxes for your convenience! We have a drive-up drop box located on the northeast corner of 5th Ave. & Ann St. The second drop box is located inside City Hall on the 1st floor at 301 E. Huron St.
When are property taxes billed and when are they due?
Summer taxes are billed on July 1 and are payable by July 31. Winter taxes are billed on December 1 and are payable by December 31.
How can I defer my tax payment?
Senior citizens, paraplegic, quadriplegic, totally and permanently disabled, blind, eligible servicepersons, veterans or their qualified surviving spouse, may be able to delay the date their taxes are due. A $40,000 annual household income limitation is required to qualify for a summer deferment. Deferment applications are available at the Customer Service office located at 301 E. Huron St. or online at www.ewashtenaw.org, and must be filed with the Treasurer on or before September 15th.
What happens if I cannot pay my taxes?
Real property taxes that are unpaid are turned over to the Washtenaw County Treasurer for collection with additional penalties and interest as of March 1 each year. For payment information call the County Treasurer at (734) 222-6600. Delinquent Personal Property taxes are payable to the City of Ann Arbor Treasurer's Office. How do I contest a parking ticket?
You can contest a parking ticket with a parking referee either in person or by mail. (Parking Referee)
