Summer Tax Statement

  • The 2008 summer tax statements will be mailed on July 1, 2008.  If you have not received a tax statement by July 11th, please contact the Treasurer office at (734) 994-2833 to receive a duplicate.  A fee of $3.00 will be charged for all duplicate bills.

  • For your convenience there are several payment drop boxes which can be accessed throughout the day:  the drive up window on the north side of Guy Larcom Municipal Building, south entrance door of the Guy Larcom Municipal Building, and at the Customer Service Center located at 220 E Huron Street during the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM.

  • Tax payments can be made at the following local banks during the month of July:
    • ANN ARBOR COMMERCE BANK
    • BANK OF ANN ARBOR
    • CITIZENS BANK
    • FIDELITY BANK
    • TCF BANK

Taxes may be paid by mail (postmarked by July 31, 2008) City of Ann Arbor, P.O. Box 77000, Dept. #77602, Detroit, MI  48277-0602.  Payments postmarked August 1, 2008 will be assessed a 1% penalty.  Payments postmarked September 1, 2008 will be assessed a 5% penalty.  If the summer taxes are not paid by November 1, 2008, they will be placed on the December tax statements with applicable penalties.   

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING DEFERMENT OF HOMESTEAD PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS

·        Senior citizen, paraplegic, quadriplegic, totally and permanently disabled, blind, eligible serviceperson, eligible veteran or veteran widow:

 If you meet certain requirement, you may be eligible to defer your summer and winter tax payment dates.  A $40,000 annual household income limitation is required to qualify for a summer deferment.  Applications for deferments and detailed information can be obtained by contacting the Treasurer’s office at (734) 994-2833. 

 Winter Tax Statement

  • 2008 winter tax statement will be mailed on December 1, 2008.  If you have not received your tax statement by December 10th, please contact the Treasurer’s office at (734) 994-2833 for a duplicate bill.  A fee of $3.00 will be charged for all duplicate bills.

Special Reminder:  If you have recently purchased a new home, refinanced a mortgage, or made any changes that may affect the timely receipt of the tax statement, please contact the Treasurer’s office  (734) 994-2833.  Failure to receive a tax statement will not defer any penalties.
