 Operational and Strategic Planning

Strategic Plan

In 2005, the City commissioned Plante and Moran to develop a strategic plan for Information technology.  In April 2006 the Information technology Strategic Plan was finalized.

There are links to the completed plan, an executive overview and a status of the plan as of July 2008 located on the right-hand side of the page.

Operational Plan

The FY 2009 IT Operational plan is summarized in our Service Unit Goals and Measures document.

There are seven high-level service unit goals that Information Technology will be focusing on for the next 3 years, begining with Fiscal Year 2009.  They are: Collaboration, Communication, Improved Organizational Ability, Better Enterprise Architecture, Improved Security and Privacy, Reduced Burden and Thinking Green.

Our measure of success will be based on how well we do against our stated service unit measures (objectives).
